The Nordic Region will be the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030
This is the core of the vision adopted by the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic prime ministers in August 2019 and will be realized by way of three strategic priorities between 2021 and 2024: A Green Nordic Region, a Competitive Nordic Region, and a Socially Sustainable Nordic Region.

There are 12 objectives linked to the three strategic priorities. The strategic priorities and objectives for achieving the vision will guide all the activities of the Nordic Council of Ministers between 2021-2024.
iHAC – A building block for a sustainable Nordic region
iHAC is one of the activities in the action plan för 2021-2024 foremost focusing on the strategic priority a Socially Sustainable Nordic Region. But iHAC will also cover both the priorities of a Green and Competitive Nordic Region in cross sectoral activities and projects.
